What did Robert Vadra say about ED's inquiry?

Businessman and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra reached the ED office on Tuesday. He said, 'We have told ED that we were preparing documents. I am always ready to come here.'

Vadra was at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Delhi for questioning in a land deal-linked money laundering case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sent summons to businessman Robert Vadra for questioning in a money laundering case related to a land deal. This investigation against him is related to a land deal in Shikohpur, Haryana.

The summon comes a day after Robert Vadra expressed his willingness to join politics, saying that if the Congress party feels he should take that step, he would do so with the blessings of his family.

Talking to journalists, Vadra said, "I hope that the conclusion will be reached today. There is nothing in this case. Whenever I speak in the interest of the people, they start misusing the agencies."

Robert Vadra called the summon a “political vendetta” carried out by the BJP and suggested that it is done to stop him from entering politics.

'People love me and want me to join politics'

“We told the ED we were organising our documents, I am always ready to be here... I hope there's a conclusion today. There is nothing in the case... When I speak in favor of the country, I am stopped, Rahul is stopped from speaking in the Parliament. BJP is doing it. This is a political vendetta. People love me and want me to join politics...,” Robert Vadra said.

He said, "I have come here 15 times. I have sat for ten hours each time. I have given 23 thousand documents. Then they say that I should give all the 23 thousand documents again in a week. This is not how things work."
