Vishnu did not want to disturb the penance of Ma Lakshmi
According to the mythological story here, it is said that once Ma Lakshmi was doing penance in the Tulsi Bhawan built in Badrinath. During that time Lord Vishnu killed the elusive demon Shankhachurna.
The conch was not blown at that time although it is considered a symbol of victory. It is said that Lord Vishnu did not want to disturb the penance of Ma Lakshmi. That is why the Lord did not blow the conch. According to religious belief, that is why the conch is not blown in the Badrinath temple.
Badrinath Dham is also known as the Vaikunth Dham of the earth, where Lord Vishnu resides and devotion flourishes.
