Chhattisgarh: Tigress gives birth to 2 cubs in Guru Ghasidas Tiger Reserve, wave of joy among wildlife lovers

Chhattisgarh: A pleasant news has come from Guru Ghasidas Tiger Reserve of Baikunthpur, Chhattisgarh. After a long time, a tigress has given birth to two cubs here, due to which there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm about wildlife conservation in the area. The tigress and her cubs have been seen near the border of Sonhat forest area and Guru Ghasidas National Park. This information was given by a villager.

It is being told that when the villager was returning home from the field, he saw the tigress and the cubs. He took a photo of it and showed it to the people in the village and later informed the forest department. After receiving the information, Sonhat Ranger Ajit Singh reached the spot with his team. However, due to heavy rains, the tigress and the cubs could not be located there and their paw marks were also erased.

On enquiring in the surrounding villages, it was confirmed that some people had seen the tigress and the cubs. The ranger has instructed the villagers not to go near the concerned site and maintain distance from the forest area. Also, if any information is received about the tigress or cubs, inform the department immediately. The forest department has sealed the area for security reasons.

Place is just 100 meters away from national park area

It is worth noting that the place where the tigress was seen is just 100 meters away from the national park area. It is being speculated that the tigress would have gone directly from Bhaluwar to the national park area with her cubs. This incident is being considered an auspicious sign for wildlife conservation, because earlier the sad news of two tigers being found dead in the area had come to light, after which action was also taken against the forest department officials. Now a new hope has arisen with the birth of the cubs.
