Bhopal: PM Modi visits exhibition focused on Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar at Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan, interacts with empowered women


Prime Ministern Narendra Modi visited the exhibition focused on Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai at the Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav were also present on the occasion. 

The activities conducted by Lokmata Ahilyabai for good governance, women's self-reliance, upliftment of religious places have been displayed through the exhibition. Along with this, books and research papers focused on Devi Ahilyabai are also displayed here. 

Prime Minister Modi interacted with women dedicated to handloom-handicrafts and Drone Didi. PM Modi also obtained information about the ongoing activities for women empowerment in the state, initiatives being taken by women in the field of rural housing scheme, rural tourism, agriculture etc. and women representation in rural and urban bodies. PM also observed the activities conducted under infrastructure development in the state, development of religious places, and other development-oriented innovations of the state at the exhibition.



PM received a warm and cordial welcome

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm and cordial welcome upon his arrival in Bhopal. He landed at Raja Bhoj Airport at 10:40 AM on Saturday aboard a special Indian Air Force aircraft.

PM Modi is scheduled to participate in mega the event ‘Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan’ being held at Jamboree Ground, organised on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary year of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.

Prime Minister Shri Modi was welcomed by Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Sports,Youth Welfare& Cooperative Misnister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, MP Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, MLA Shri Gopal Bhargava, MLA Shri Bhoopendra Singh, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, DGP Shri Kailash Makwana, ACS Shri Sanjay Dubey, Commissioner Shri Sanjiv Singh and other senior Administrative & Police officials at Airport.
