Congress did not give Shashi Tharoor's name for the delegation, what more did Jairam Ramesh tell?

Seven all-party delegation groups from India will visit many countries. One of these delegations also includes the name of senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor.

Soon after the announcement of Shashi Tharoor's name, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has posted on X.

According to his post, Shashi Tharoor's name was not among the names given by Congress for the delegation group.

Jairam Ramesh wrote on the social media platform X, "On Friday morning, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju spoke to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and asked them to give the names of 4 MPs for the delegation to be sent abroad to clarify India's stand on terrorism from Pakistan."

According to Jairam Ramesh, four names were given till Friday afternoon. These included the names of Anand Sharma, Gaurav Gogoi, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain and Raja Brar.

But when the list of people visiting major partner countries was released by PIB, the names of none of these four were included in that list.

According to the list released by PIB, seven delegations will be led by different MPs.

I feel honored: Tharoor

However, Shashi Tharoor's name was in the list and he will lead one of the delegations. Tharoor wrote on the X, "I feel honored by the invitation of the Government of India to present my country's view on the recent incident."

He said, "When it comes to national interest and my services are needed, I will never step back."

A group of seven delegations from India is going to visit key partner countries.

This information has been given by PIB in a press release, in which it has been told that this team will visit in the context of 'Operation Sindoor' and India's continuous fight against cross-border terrorism.
