There has been a cyber attack on India's defense websites. This attack has been made by Pakistan Cyber Force. It is feared that secret information has been leaked in this attack. This information was given by the Indian Army.
According to the Indian Army, an X-handle named 'Pakistan Cyber Force' has breached the data of Military Engineer Services (MES) and Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies and Analysis (IDSA). In this cyber attack, many confidential information including login credentials of defense personnel are feared to be leaked.
Hackers tried to damage the website
Those reporting this cyber attack fear that an attempt was also made to damage the official website of 'Armed Vehicle Corporation Limited', a public sector unit under the Ministry of Defense. This website was vandalized using Pakistani flag and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Damage caused by cyber attack being assessed
Indian Army informed that as a precaution, the official website of 'Armed Vehicle Corporation Limited' has been taken offline. The website is being thoroughly investigated so that the damage caused by the cyber attack can be assessed. Along with this, the security system of the website is being strengthened.

Cyber security experts and agencies are monitoring cyber space so that any potential threat or sponsored cyber attack related to Pakistan can be identified and thwarted. Indian Army informed that this monitoring is being done to identify and prevent any upcoming threat.
