Indore: Sharad Sankla, who plays the character of Abdul in the popular TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', was in Indore on Sunday. As soon as the news of his arrival broke, a large number of his fans rushed to the venue to meet him.
On this occasion, Sharad Sankha shared many experiences related to the show. He said, "I have been playing the character of Abdul for a long time and this character has received a lot of love from the audience. Now people recognize me by the name Abdul and not by my real name.”
He told that the character of Abdul has become an important part of his life. "I am actually a Hindu by religion but when I play the character of Abdul, I feel myself in that character. This country is like a bouquet and we should cherish it together. Be it Muslim or Hindu, it is important to be human first."
Sharad said that the job of an artist is to play any character with complete honesty. "Many people say that I have molded myself into a Muslim character, but the truth is that we are artists and are limited to the character. Our aim is only to provide entertainment and not to hurt anyone's sentiments,” he clarified.
