Fans and celebs mourn demise of Son Of Sardaar actor Mukul Dev

Son Of Sardaar Actor Mukul Dev, known for his roles across Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian films as well as television, has passed away at the age of 54. He was not well for quite sometime. The news of Jai Ho actor's demise has shocked the film industry, with friends, colleagues, and fans sharing their grief and paying emotional tributes to the actor.

Vindu Dara Singh confirmed the news on social media. Taking to X, he wrote, "Rest in peace, my brother #MukulDev! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing!”

Deepshikha Nagpal took to Instagram and mourned the demise of Mukul Dev. She shared a picture with him and captioned, "I can't believe this. RIP."

Manoj Bajpayee is at the loss for words after hearing the news. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Mukul Dev (born on 17 September 1970 in New Delhi) was an Indian actor who worked in many languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam. He also acted in several television shows.

He started his acting journey in 1996 with the TV show Mumkin and made his film debut the same year with Dastak, alongside Sushmita Sen. Over time, he became known for his roles in popular movies like Yamla Pagla Deewana, Son of Sardaar, R... Rajkumar, and Jai Ho.

Mukul studied at St. Columba’s School in Delhi and also earned a certificate in aeronautics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Aviation in Raebareli.
