Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav fried Bhajiyas at Malwa Utsav, encouraged folk artists



Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav attended the Malwa Utsav organized at the historic Lalbagh complex in Indore on Sunday. After reaching the festival, he met and interacted with folk artists from different states and encouraged them. 

In Malwa Utsav, folk artists from different states of the country as well as from different areas of Madhya Pradesh are exhibiting their folk arts. Weavers and other handicraft artists have displayed their traditional handicrafts, weaving, clay and metal artifacts in the festival.



Stalls have been set up 

Along with traditional folk dance and music performances, graffiti exhibitions, handicrafts and cuisine stalls have been set up in the Lalbagh complex. 

CM Mohan Yadav inspected various stalls. During this, he fried Bhajiyas at a stall and tasted them. Reza work, batik prints, copper and brass statues, and tribal paintings caught the attention of the audience. Various folk dance performances were presented on the cultural stage in the festival, in which the audience participated enthusiastically.



Govt is committed to the preservation of traditional art

CM Mohan Yadav said that the state government is committed to the preservation of traditional art, culture and crafts. Describing the cultural richness of Malwa and the tradition of festivals as a matter of pride, he said that such events also provide economic support to the local craftsmen.

At the beginning of the program, MP and founder of Lok Sanskriti Manch Shankar Lalwani said that the Malwa festival is being organized continuously for 25 years with the aim of preservation and promotion of art and culture. He expressed gratitude to CM Dr. Yadav for approving the amount for the development of the historic Rajbada and Lalbagh.

Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola and Shri Golu Shukla, Shri Sumit Mishra and other public representatives were also present in the program.
