Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AFS Adampur on Tuesday to meet air warriors and soldiers. "It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness", Modi stated.
The Prime Minister posted on X; "Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation."
In the military conflict between the two countries last week, the Pakistani army claimed that it had attacked India's Adampur airbase and destroyed the missile defense system S-400. However, the Indian army had said that there was an attempt to attack the Adampur airbase, which was foiled.
After India's air strikes inside Pakistan in the early hours of May 7, the two countries had agreed on a ceasefire on May 10.
PM Modi had addressed the nation on Monday evening and said, "India's military operation under Operation Sindoor has just been suspended. In the coming days, every step taken by Pakistan will be judged on the basis of the attitude it adopts."
