Israel continued air strikes on Iran's capital Tehran on Thursday night. Israel has attacked the Arak heavy water reactor in Iran. There is no information about the damage caused after the attack. A few hours ago, the Israeli Army (IDF) had warned the people of Arak and Khondub cities to vacate the area.
Arak has a heavy water reactor. This facility is an important part of Iran's nuclear program. Along with this, weapons are produced on a large scale in Arak.
Israel has also warned to attack Khondub. Khondub also has IR-40 heavy water reactor, which is another important part of Iran's nuclear program. This facility is about 40 kilometers away from Arak. Like Arak, it is also kept under international surveillance.
Iran retaliates
In retaliation, Iran launched a missile barrage across Israel. One of the missiles struck the Soroka Medical Center—the largest hospital in southern Israel, located in Beersheba—causing considerable damage, according to the Israeli Defense Forces. Several other impacts were confirmed across various locations, including a damaged building in Ramat Gan, central Israel.
The war between Iran and Israel has reached its seventh day. So far, 24 Israelis have been killed. Meanwhile, a Washington-based human rights group has claimed that the death toll in Iran has now reached 639 and 1329 people have been injured.
