The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed profound grief and shock over the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad today. He stated that the tragedy has stunned and saddened the nation and described it as heartbreaking beyond words.
PMi Modi said that he has been in continuous communication with Ministers and relevant authorities to ensure swift and effective assistance to those impacted.
In a post on X, he wrote:
“The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected.”

Air India Chairman N Chandrasekaran has expressed grief over the plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His statement has been posted by Tata Group on its official X account. Air India is a Tata Group company.
Tata Group has written on X quoting Air India Chairman N Chandrasekaran, "With great sadness I confirm that Air India flight number 171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick has met with an accident today. Our deepest condolences are with the families and loved ones of those affected by this horrific accident."
N Chandrasekaran has said, "At present our priority is to provide assistance to all the affected and their families. We are making every effort to help the emergency response teams present on the spot and provide necessary help to the victims of the accident."
"More updates will be shared as soon as we get more concrete information. An emergency center has been activated and support teams have also been formed for the families who need information."
