Canada: What Kapil Sharma's Kap's Cafe said on the firing incident
An incident of firing at comedian Kapil Sharma's cafe in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada took place on Thursday.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) said that shots were fired at the cafe located on 120th Street in Newton area on Thursday morning. Staff was present inside the cafe during this time.'
Police have said that no one was injured in the attack. However, the cafe has suffered damage. Bullet marks can be seen in the windows after the attack.
Surrey Police Service has said that the police is investigating the connection with other incidents and the possible motive.
Attack is heartbreaking: Cafe
In the case, Kapil Sharma's cafe has said that the attack is heartbreaking, but we will not give up. The cafe opened just a week ago.
The cafe, which is run by his wife Ginni Charthrath, issued a statement o their official Kap's Cafe's Instagram page.
The statement said, "We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up. Thank you for your support. Your kind words, prayers, and memories shared via DM mean more than you know. This cafe exists because of your belief in what we’re building together. Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Cafe remains a place of warmth and community."
