Tennis Player Radhika Yadav Murder: Motive not clear, police doubt reasons given by father for killing daughter
Gurugram: Tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her own father Deepak Yadav in his Sector-57 house in Gurugram. He cited the taunts of the villagers and the tennis academy as the reason behind the murder. But the police doubt the story told by Deepak.
According to the information, at the time of the incident, Radhika was in the kitchen and was cooking. Father Deepak fired three bullets at Radhika from his licensed revolver. Two of the bullets hit her chest, while one bullet hit her lower back. Radhika died on the spot.
Police doubt the reasons given by Deepak behind the murder
Police said that Deepak has accepted his crime, but the police doubt the reasons he has given behind the murder. SHO Vinod Kumar, who is investigating the case, said that the weapon used in the murder has not been recovered so far. The accused has cited the taunts of the villagers as the reason for the murder. Police say that this is neither a case of love affair nor of honor killing.
Deepak was very supportive of his daughter's tennis career
According to the initial investigation, Deepak was very supportive of his daughter Radhika's tennis career. He had bought expensive tennis rackets and sports kits for Radhika, and even got her trained abroad. In such a situation, the police are not able to believe that the daughter was murdered just because of a dispute over the tennis academy.
The investigation has also revealed that Deepak's family is financially strong. He is involved in broker business which gives him an annual income of around Rs 15 crore. Apart from this, he earns Rs 5 to 10 lakh every month from rent.
Deepak had asked Radhika to close her tennis academy
It is being told that some people of the village had told Deepak that his daughter does as she pleases and he is not a good father. After this, Deepak asked Radhika several times to close her tennis academy, but when Radhika refused, the matter escalated.
Radhika's social media account has been deleted
The police said that Radhika was away from tennis for two years due to injury and was trying to become an influencer by making videos on social media. Her mother used to support her. But her father was strongly against it. After Radhika's murder, her social media account has been deleted. The police is sure that the secrets related to her murder can come out from Radhika's social media account. The police is working fast on this.
