Remember Bhopal’s Machli Ghar? An ultramodern Aqua Park, not just an aquarium, is taking shape in city; MP CM Mohan Yadav will perform bhoomi pujan
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav will perform the bhoomi poojan for an ultramodern Aqua Park to be built in Bhopal, on Saturday, July 12. The old Machli Ghar still holds a special place in the hearts of both tourists visiting Bhopal as well as city residents.
The old aquarium was a popular spot for school picnics, where children would stroll with their parents. Watching colorful fish captivated visitors, filling them with amazement and joy as they admired their beauty. Golden fish swimming in blue light resembled paintings on a canvas.
As time has passed, the aquarium, with its rich history, is set to return to Bhopal with a new identity. One of the most beautiful and modern aqua parks in the country is taking shape in the city.
The Central government has sanctioned Rs 25 crore for this project, and the state government will contribute Rs 15 crore, making it a Rs 40 crore ambitious project. The aqua park will not only be a center of attraction for tourists but also a new hub of adventure, education, research, and curiosity for children.
Hundreds of species of marine and freshwater fish will be seen
In the aqua park, hundreds of species of marine and freshwater fish will be seen. A digital aquarium, water tunnel, 3D interactive zone, sea-life learning centre for children, research center (demonstration unit of traditional and modern fish farming techniques), Matsya Seva Kendra (for training of fish farmers), entrepreneurship development and incubation center, cafeteria (display of colorful fish and fish-related gift items), and programs related to environmental education and conservation will also be available in the aqua park.
Construction of the park is proposed at the fish house in Bhadbhada
Through the aqua park, the new generation will not only see fish but will also become sensitive towards water and nature. The construction of this park is proposed at the fish house located in Bhadbhada. The aqua park is going to become a bridge between history and the future. For the capital Bhopal, it will not be just a tourist destination, but an experience like walking through the corridor of memories.
The people who once held balloons in their hands and came to see colorful fish in the old fish house will now return to the same place holding the hands of their children. But this time, a grand "aqua park" adorned with lights and technology will begin their new memories.
