Kangana Ranaut has said that she is not enjoying the work of an MP. The actor-turned-politician also shared what BJP had told her while giving her the ticket.
Entire salary is spent in going among the public
Mandi MP Kangana said staying in politics while being honest is an expensive hobby. She also said that her entire salary is spent in going among the public in her parliamentary constituency. She also said that she hoped that she would be made a minister because her contribution was very significant. Kangana said these things in an interview to a TV channel.
This is a very demanding job
Kangana said when BJP offered her a ticket, she was told that she will have to work only for 60 to 70 days. You can do your work on the remaining days, they said. But, now I understand that this is a very demanding job.
Kangana said if you are honest then politics is an expensive hobby. A large part of the salary goes on the salary of the cook and driver. When I have to go to any part of my constituency with some employees and travel by car with them, the expenses run into lakhs. Because, every place is at least 300 to 400 kilometers away.
I felt that I would become a minister
On the question of becoming a minister, Kangana says – As is my profile, the kind of profession I come from, I am a film producer, director and writer. I also have the country’s fourth highest civilian award, Padma Shri. I have also won a very difficult seat. Looking at my contribution, I felt that I would become a minister and get some department. Many ministers in the cabinet are first-time ministers.
My one year as an MP has been outstanding
Kangana said – My one year as an MP has been outstanding. I challenge all the former MPs of Mandi so far. My attendance and questions asked in the Lok Sabha are more than everyone else. I have raised issues like electricity, natural disaster in the House.
People are coming to me with panchayat level problems
Kangana said- I am not enjoying my work as an MP, because people are coming to me with panchayat level problems.
Kangana has said- Do not come to me with CM’s work. Earlier, Kangana had said during a visit to the disaster affected areas of Mandi that she neither has a cabinet nor does she have officers. In Banjar, Kangana had said that do not come to mer with the work of the Chief Minister. These works are to be done by the Chief Minister.
