Virat Kohli wrote in his tweet: Great victory for India at Edgbaston. Fearless and kept pushing England to the wall. Brilliantly led by Shubhman with the bat and in the field and impactful performances from everyone. Special mention to Siraj and Akash for the way they bowled on this pitch. 

Sachin Tendulkar calls Shubman Gill the greatest batsman of the time

Sachin Tendulkar described Shubman Gill as "the greatest batsman of the time" and praised his captaincy and performance in both the innings. He also praised Pant, Jadeja and KL Rahul for their important partnerships in the second innings.

Commenting on the bowlers' strategy, he said that India's approach was to put England out of the game, ensuring that there would be only one winner. He further said that Akash Deep bowled the best ball of the series to Joe Root and was the standout bowler of the match.

Shubman Gill became Player of the Match

Indian captain Shubman Gill was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant performance. After the victory, captain Gill said that all the things we said after the first game were correct. Our bowling and fielding were worth watching. We knew that if we score 400-500 runs on such a wicket, we will stay in the game. This time we did not drop many catches.
