Six children die, over 30 injured after roof of Government school collapses in Jhalawar, Rajasthan


Six children died due to the collapse of a part of a government school building in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. More than 30 children are seriously injured in the accident. The accident took place on Friday morning in Peeplodi Government School of Manoharthana block.

According to the information, a classroom collapsed in the accident. 35 children of class 7 were sitting in it. All were buried under the debris. All the injured were taken out with the help of teachers and villagers.

Dr. Kaushal Lodha of Manoharthana Hospital said that 11 seriously injured have been referred to the district hospital.

Villagers said that there are a total of 7 classrooms in this school. During the accident, there were 71 children in two classrooms of the school. Class 7 children were studying in the classroom where the accident took place. Two teachers were also present in the school, but both were outside the building during the accident.

The hospital staff of Manoharthana said that some children have suffered serious head injuries.

There is resentment among the villagers after the accident. They said that the building had become dilapidated due to continuous rain, but the officials did not pay attention.

The people who rescued said that many children were buried under heavy slabs. When they reached the school, there was screaming and crying.

The villagers said that a part of the school building has completely collapsed. Shoes and slippers of the injured children are scattered.

After getting information about the accident, the district administration officials reached the spot. Children's belongings were found scattered here.
