MP: Illegal constructions around Bhopal's Upper Lake will be removed, says CM Mohan Yadav; Namo Train for inter-city travel


Bhopal: Illegal constructions around Upper Lake in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal are now on the target of the state government. Illegal constructions around Upper Lake will be removed. First a survey of illegal constructions will be conducted, after that action will be taken.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given instructions in this regard on Thursday. The CM reviewed the Urban Development and Housing Department in Samatva Bhavan. During this, CM Mohan Yadav expressed displeasure over the illegal constructions around the Lake. 

Upper Lake is the pride of Bhopal 

CM said that the Upper Lake is the pride of Bhopal city. It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain its beauty and cleanliness. Illegal constructions around it will not be tolerated.

CM Mohan Yadav advocated controlling the expansion of slums in big cities as well as developing affordable housing facilities. The CM said that the country's reputed builders and colonizers should be included in the development of colonies in urban areas in the state. 

CM Mohan Yadav said that housing facilities should be provided to Ladli Bahnas on priority basis. He directed the urban bodies to take immediate action to organize meat and fish vendors in the state and provide suitable space.

Develop city forests in cities

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized on the expansion of Deendayal Rasoi Yojana in religious areas. He said that in this work, along with government help, the help of voluntary organizations and private donors should be taken. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that clean environment is an important issue in urban areas. For this, it is necessary that Nagar Van should be developed as much as possible by selecting reserved land in urban areas and responsibility for their maintenance should also be fixed.

Action plan of Rs 2800 crore for Chitrakoot

Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that a plan for integrated development is being prepared in the development of religious and tourist cities. A work plan of Rs 2800 crore has been prepared in Chitrakoot city, in which a detailed project report of Rs 800 crore is being prepared by the Urban Development Department. 

Full operation of Indore, Bhopal Metro by 2027; Namo Train for inter-city travel

In the review meeting of Urban Development and Housing Department in Samatva Bhavan, it was told that full operation of Bhopal and Indore Metro line will be ensured by the year 2027. CM said that a plan of Namo Train should be prepared for the expansion of rail service for the inter-city travel. Soon, this will be discussed with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
