PM Modi receives rousing welcome by Indian community in Argentina (In Pics)


Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Argentina on Saturday (5 July). PM Modi was given a rousing welcome by the Indian community. Slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Shri Ram and 'Modi-Modi' resounded in the hotel of Buenos Aires. PM Modi picked up the small children in his lap. Women danced to welcome the PM.

PM Narendra Modi is on a tour of 5 countries till 10 July. After Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Modi arrived in Argentina on Saturday (5 July). He was given a grand welcome. Akhilesh Verma of Indian origin said - It was very nice to meet PM Modi. We are happy to see him in Argentina.

Zinnia, an artist who performed to welcome Prime Minister Modi, said, "We were working very hard to present these Indian dance styles and give our best. I am really happy that PM Modi watched our performance very attentively and also congratulated us."



PM will meet Argentine President

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Argentine President Javier Milei on Saturday. He will participate in the India-Argentina Business Summit 2025 and there will be important talks between the two leaders with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations. Agreements can be reached between India and Argentina on issues related to many areas such as defense, agriculture, energy, nuclear cooperation, trade and investment. Also, an important consensus can also be reached on lithium supply.



Prime Minister's program for Sunday

Prime Minister Modi is on his two-day visit to Argentina. This is his second visit to Argentina after becoming the PM. Earlier, he had arrived to attend the G20 conference in 2018. On Sunday, July 6, he will meet the Foreign Minister, Trade Minister and Energy Minister of Argentina. The main points of discussion will be the supply of lithium and liquefied natural gas (LNG). After this, the Prime Minister will leave for Brazil, where he will attend the BRICS summit.
