MP: Parikrama Path to Be Developed for Convenience of Narmada Parikrama Pilgrims, Says CM Mohan Yadav


Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that new dimensions will be added to the tourism development of Amarkantak, which is globally renowned as a spiritual and tourist destination. It is the confluence and origin of the Narmada, Sone, and Johila rivers, making it a sacred land. CM said the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to the holistic development of the Narmada Parikrama Path region, including the development of ghats, food zones, and large-scale plantation drives.

CM Mohan Yadav said that rivers are the source of prosperity, and special facilities will be built for Narmada pilgrims. The Ram Setu built at Amarkantak with a cost of Rs. 13 crore under the PRASAD scheme reminds one of the bridges in Rishikesh. He was virtually addressing the “Harit Mahabhiyan and Beneficiary Conference” held at Kotma in Anuppur district from Rewa on Friday. 

CM inaugurated and performed Bhoomi-Poojan for 114 projects worth Rs. 443.31 crore in Kotma with the click of a button. He also announced NEET and JEE coaching facilities and inaugurated the newly constructed Ram Setu at Ram Ghat on the Narmada River in Amarkantak.

Chitrakoot Dham to Be Developed on the Lines of Ayodhya Dham

CM announced that, on the lines of Ayodhya Dham, a grand development project worth Rs. 2,800 crore will be undertaken in Chitrakoot Dham. The government is also working on the construction of the 1,450 km long Ram Van Gaman Path. He said that a new Kendriya Vidyalaya is under construction in the district. 

The program was attended by Minister of State for Forest and Environment and Anuppur’s in-charge minister Dilip Ahirwar, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cottage and Village Industries Shri Dilip Jaiswal, , Chairperson of the State Coal Development Corporation Ramlal Rautel, Chairperson of the District Panchayat Mrs Preeti Ramesh Singh, and several other urban and rural representatives, dignitaries, and a large number of citizens.
