Independence Day-2025: PM Modi said countrymen are going to get a very big gift this Diwali
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the country after hoisting the tricolor on the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day-2025.
PM Modi said, "Today I have got the opportunity to salute the brave soldiers of Operation Sindoor from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Our brave soldiers have punished the enemies beyond their imagination."
Before reaching the Red Fort, PM Modi reached Rajghat, where he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
PM Modi has hoisted the tricolor for the 12th time from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "This Diwali, I am going to make it a double Diwali for you. The countrymen are going to get a very big gift this Diwali."
PM Modi said, "In the last eight years, we have done a big reform in GST. Now we are bringing the next generation GST reform. These will become a gift for you on Diwali."
"Taxes on general human needs will be reduced to a great extent. There will be a huge increase in facilities."
