Independence Day 2025: Marking his 12th Independence Day address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned the Red Fort into a launchpad for the next chapter of India’s rise. On the 79th Independence Day, he made a series of bold announcements that signal a nation ready to leap, not just step, into the future.
From making India’s first semiconductor chip to building jet engines, from tenfold nuclear expansion to a Rs 1 lakh crore youth employment push, his message was unambiguous: Bharat will define its own destiny, set its own terms, and aim to become a developed nation by 2047.
PM Modi made a big announcement for the youth of India. He said that the Prime Minister Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana is going to start from August 15. The cost of this scheme is going to be around Rs 1 lakh crore. The objective of this scheme is to increase employment opportunities in the private sector and give financial incentives to the youth.
Under this scheme newly employed youth will receive Rs 15,000 per month. The scheme aims to benefit 3 crore young Indians, strengthening the bridge from Swatantra Bharat to Samriddha Bharat.
PM Moda said that under this scheme, the government will also provide incentives to the companies which generate more employment. PM Modi claimed that this scheme will provide employment opportunities to about 3 crore youth, which will also strengthen the Indian economy.
