Janmashtami-2025: MP: CM Mohan Yadav Performs Pooja at Historic Amka-Jhamka Temple Linked to Dwapar Yuga, Participates in Matki Fod Ceremony

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav performed ‘Pooja’ at the historic ‘Amka-Jhamka’ Temple in Sardarpur Tehsil of Dhar district on the occasion of Janmashtami. This temple, associated with the Dwapar Yuga, is believed to be connected with Lord Shri Krishna and the episode of ‘Rukmini Haran’. CM Dr. Yadav first visited the Dwapar Yuga site and offered prayers at the Ambika Mata Temple, seeking the prosperity and well-being of the state. The CM also visited the Chamunda Mata Temple thereafter.


Participates in Matki Fod Ceremony

The public and representatives gathered at the temple courtyard honored CM Dr. Yadav with a traditional ‘Gada’. During the Janmashtami celebrations, the CM Dr. Yadav fondly interacted with a calf and participated in the ‘Matki Fod’ event, energising the crowd.


Celebration Enriched with Cultural Performances

The temple grounds witnessed enchanting cultural performances by artists, creating a devotional atmosphere. Present on the occasion were the district in-charge minister, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Union Minister of State for Women & Child Development Savitri Thakur and a large number of devotees.
