PM Modi mentions sports revolution happening in Madhya Pradesh in Mann Ki Baat; football players of Shahdol will get training in Germany

PM Narendra Modi mentioned the sports achievements of Madhya Pradesh twice in the Mann Ki Baat program. He congratulated Madhya Pradesh for winning the most medals in the country's first Khelo India Water Sports Festival. He also mentioned the craze of football in Shahdol district and the German coach taking interest in it and providing training to the players. 

CM Mohan Yadav listened to PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat program in Piparseva of Morena district. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and local residents were present.

Country's first water sports festival held in Dal Lake of Srinagar

PM Modi said that the first Khelo India Water Sports Festival in the country was held in Dal Lake of Srinagar. Where women athletes also excelled, their participation was also almost equal to that of men. I want to congratulate all the players who participated in it. Special congratulations to Madhya Pradesh, which won the most medals. After that came Haryana and Odisha.

Football players of Shahdol will get training in Germany

PM Modi said that today the attention of the whole world is towards India. In this context, PM Modi shared with the countrymen through the Mann Ki Baat program the incident of the German football coach connecting with the football players of Shahdol district. 

PM Modi told that in a podcast he had described a village in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh associated with the craze of football. The same thing was heard by German football player and coach  Didmar Bayer Dorf. The interest and talent of the young football players of Shahdol impressed the football coach. No one would have imagined that the talented players of Shahdol would attract other countries as well. 

PM said now the German coach has offered to train some players of Shahdol in a training academy in Germany. The Government of Madhya Pradesh has also contacted him. Soon some of our young friends will go to Germany to get football training. The popularity of football is increasing in India. I appeal to the countrymen to visit Shahdol once and see closely the sporting revolution happening there. There are infinite possibilities of development hidden in India.

Four players and one coach from Vicharpur will take training in Germany

It is noteworthy that the echo of village Vicharpur of Shahdol, famous as Mini Brazil, is being heard all over the world. This pride is the result of the dedication, commitment and hard work of the football players of Vicharpur. 

Football coach Rais Ahmed told that in the coming days, 2 boy football players, 2 girl football players and 1 football coach will receive training in the Germany Academy. He said that this training to be held in Germany will not only provide modern technical knowledge to the players and coaches but will also prepare them to compete at the international level. This historic achievement of Vicharpur has once again proved that with hard work, passion and efforts in the right direction, rural talents can also make their mark on the world stage.

Message given to adopt Swadeshi on Ganesh Utsav

PM Modi inspired the countrymen to adopt Swadeshi on Ganesh Utsav. He said that we have to move forward with the mantra 'Vocal for Local', one path 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', one goal 'Developed India'.

Water Sports Gold Medalist Mohsin mentions Bhopal

PM Modi said that sports plays an important role in Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. He discussed with Mohsin, who won the gold medal in Khelo India Water Sports. Athlete Mohsin told that he has also come to Bhopal in connection with water sports. Mohsin said that it is his dream to win a medal in the Olympics and to have the national anthem played for the country.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
