What did Asaduddin Owaisi said in response to Mohan Bhagwat's three-child statement
AIMIM leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has reacted to the 'three-child statement' of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.
He said, "Since its inception, the RSS has been continuously spreading the false illusion that the growing Muslim population will overtake the Hindu population. The total fertility rate of Muslims has declined and this decline is faster than all other communities."
He said, "Didn't Narendra Modi blame the Muslim community for population growth in his speech in Parliament in 2024? And now Bhagwat is telling to 'have three children.'"
Owaisi asked, "Who are these people to interfere in people's family life?"
Owaisi said, "It should be remembered that Keshav Baliram Hedgewar considered V.D. Savarkar as his hero. V.D. Savarkar had put forward the two-nation theory in the 19th session of the Hindu Mahasabha held in Ahmedabad in 1937. Later in 1940, the Muslim League adopted the two-nation theory. By that time both the Hindu Mahasabha and the Muslim League were partners in power."
AIMIM leader said, "There have been many occasions when Mohan Bhagwat called Muslims 'stolen goods' and 'Mughal emperor's children'. Who is organizing this Dharma Sansad, where open genocide of Muslims is being talked about? These are all RSS-sponsored organizations... We are trying to ensure that such forces are removed from politics forever."
Speaking at the RSS centenary celebrations on Thursday, Bhagwat had said, "Our country's policy recommends 2.1 children for every citizen. This is the country's average. The number of child cannot be 0.1. Therefore, every citizen of India should have three children."
