Apple launches iPhone 17 models, check key features

Apple launched its thinnest iPhone at its annual event 'Awe Dropping'. The iPhone Air is 5.6mm thin. iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have also been launched at the event. The new iPhone models begin at a price of Rs 82,900 and go up to Rs 2,29,900 for the top-end 2TB storage variant.

The new model brings a slightly bigger screen, a more durable body, and major improvements in performance and cameras. The iPhone 17 does not carry the headline-grabbing changes of its Pro counterparts, but it still packs notable improvements in several areas.

The iPhone 17 will be available in lavender, mist blue, sage, white, and black in 256GB and 512GB storage capacities. The iPhone 17 comes with a starting price of Rs 82,900 and the top-end 512GB will cost Rs 1,02,900. The pre-order starts on September 12, and it will be available from September 19.

The iPhone 17 may look similar to the iPhone 16, but Apple has worked on making the design stronger and more polished. The company says the new body is more durable, aided by an updated Ceramic Shield 2 layer on the front glass. This upgraded protective glass is claimed to be three times more scratch-resistant than before.

3 rear cameras in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are 48 MP

For the first time, all three rear cameras in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are 48 MP. This will provide more detailed photos and better zoom range. The new extended platform includes a brand new telephoto camera.

Apple has also applied a new coating at the atomic level to make the screen tougher against everyday wear. Combined with the seven-layer anti-reflective coating, the phone should feel sturdier while also being easier to use in bright outdoor conditions.
