What Congress leader Sam Pitroda said about Pakistan, what did BJP say?
Senior Congress leader Sam Pitroda has advised the Modi government to improve relations with neighboring countries.
During his visit, he said that he visited Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal and felt at home there.
Following Sam Pitroda's statement, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said that he is not surprised why the UPA government did not take strict action against Pakistan even after 26/11.
Speaking to media, Sam Pitroda said, "I believe our foreign policy should focus primarily on our neighbors. Can we truly improve our relations with our neighbors? They're all small countries, they all need help. They're going through difficult times, and there's no need for war. Of course, there are terrorism and other problems."
Pitroda further added, "I've been to Pakistan, and let me tell you, I felt at home there. I've been to Bangladesh, I've been to Nepal, and I felt at home there too. I didn't feel like I was in a foreign country."
Sam Pitroda said we have to learn to live in peace and harmony with them. That's my priority."
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari wrote on X, "Rahul Gandhi's special man and Congress Overseas chief Sam Pitroda says he feels at home in Pakistan. No wonder the UPA didn't take any strong action against Pakistan even after 26/11. Pakistan's favorite, Congress's favorite!"
