Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project has achieved significant success in the construction of the undersea tunnel between Mumbai and Thane.
He said, "A milestone has been achieved today in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. An undersea tunnel is being constructed between Mumbai and Thane. This includes a crucial 4.8-kilometer section, which has achieved significant success."
The Railway Minister said, "The 320-kilometer bridge portion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad project has been completed. Very good work is progressing at all stations. Bridges over rivers are being constructed at a rapid pace."
Vaishnaw said, "The terminal at Sabarmati is almost complete, and we are working to make up for the delays in the project in Maharashtra."
Journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will take just 2 hours and 7 minutes
Ashwini Vaishnaw explained that the completion of this project will make the journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad comfortable, taking just 2 hours and 7 minutes.
Work is underway to launch a bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This project will connect several cities like Surat, Vadodara, Thane, and Vapi between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
