Regarding the match between India and Pakistan on Sunday in Asia Cup 2025, BJP MP Anurag Thakur has said that if the team does not participate in this match, it will be out of the tournament.
The match between India and Pakistan will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 14.
The opposition has been opposing this match. They said that how can India play a match with Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack?
A PIL was also filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday against this match. In this, a demand was made to cancel the cricket match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. But the court refused to list immediately.
'If the team does not participate, it will be out of the tournament'
Anurag Thakur said while talking to reporters on Saturday, "In multinational tournaments, where ACC or ICC are organizers, it becomes compulsory or necessary for any country to participate."
He said, "If the team does not participate, it will be out of the tournament and the points of this match will go to the other team."
The BJP MP has said that India does not play bilateral tournaments with Pakistan.
He said, "We took this decision many years back that India will not play bilateral tournaments with Pakistan until Pakistan stops terrorist attacks on India."
