Bihar Assembly elections-2025: What Congress leader Udit Raj said on the question of Tejashwi Yadav and the India Alliance's CM candidate, is it a setback for RJD?

Following the announcement of the dates for the Bihar Assembly elections-2025, the political atmosphere has heated up. All eyes are now on which candidates will contest from which seats. Meanwhile, a new statement has been issued by the Congress party, which could cause trouble for the RJD.

Congress leader Udit Raj has made a statement regarding the CM face of the India Alliance that could be a setback for the RJD. Raj stated that while Tejashwi Yadav may be the face of the RJD, the chief ministerial face of the India Alliance will be decided later.

Congress leader Udit Raj has said that the decision on the India Alliance's CM candidate in Bihar has not been made yet; it will be decided after discussion.

Regarding the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) declaring Tejashwi Yadav as its CM candidate, Udit Raj said, "They can do that, any party can do that. His supporters and party will definitely make a claim."

"But there is no CM candidate from the India Alliance collectively. Now let's see what happens next and what the party high command decides." This means that while Tejashwi Yadav may be the RJD candidate, there has been no official announcement at the alliance level.

The RJD has repeatedly declared Tejashwi Yadav as its CM candidate. Tejashwi Yadav himself has also issued a statement regarding this

Both the NDA and the India Alliance are claiming victory in the Bihar elections. Seat-sharing negotiations are nearly complete, but the situation regarding the Chief Minister's post remains unclear.

While Nitish Kumar is considered the NDA's front-runner, this decision is still pending within the India Alliance. Udit Raj's statement indicates that deliberations regarding leadership are still ongoing between the Congress and its allies. This clearly indicates that further discussions are needed on strategic coordination within the alliance.
