Gold, silver prices at all time highs, check today's rates, will prices rise further?
Gold and silver prices have once again reached all-time highs today, October 6th. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24-carat gold rose by Rs 2,105 to Rs 1,19,059. Previously, it was at Rs 1,16,954. Silver also rose by Rs 2,940 to Rs 1,48,550. Yesterday (Sunday), it was at Rs 1,45,610.
According to a recent report by Goldman Sachs, the bank has set a target of $5,000 per ounce for gold by next year. In rupee terms, this would be approximately Rs 1.55 lakh per 10 grams at the current exchange rate. Sandeep Raichura, director at brokerage firm PL Capital, said gold could reach Rs 1.44 lakh per 10 grams.
So far this year, the price of gold has increased by approximately Rs 42,897. On December 31, 2024, 10 grams of 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 76,162, which has now become Rs 1,19,059.
The price of silver has also increased by Rs 62,533 during this period. On December 31, 2024, the price of one kilogram of silver was Rs 86,017, which has now become Rs 1,45,120 per kilogram.
