Govardhan Puja-2025 to be celebrated in every home, gaushala and village in Madhya Pradesh; CM Mohan Yadav to attend state-level program on Oct 21


Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the state-level Govardhan Puja event at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal, on Tuesday, 21 October. He urged citizens to celebrate Govardhan Puja in every home, gaushala, and village.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that organizing Govardhan Puja at prominent public places and gaushalas will help preserve the state’s cultural, religious and social heritage, while fostering respect and devotion towards Mother Cow and nature. 

He also announced the establishment of Vrindavan villages in every development block of the state. Under the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme, dairy producers will be eligible for loans up to Rs 42 lakh for setting up modern dairy units.

The state-level event will include honoring outstanding dairy entrepreneurs, distribution of Panchgavya products at Anganwadi centers and exhibitions showcasing Annakoot, livestock, agriculture, cooperative schemes, dairy products and organic items.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav further said that celebrating a Swadeshi Diwali will strengthen the spirit of a self-reliant India. Therefore, the purchase and sale of ‘Swadeshi’  products should be promoted during the festive season. Programs related to Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the GST Utsav will continue till December 25.
