India and Pakistan are scheduled to face each other on Sunday in the ICC Women's World Cup-2025. This match will be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Pakistan's women's cricket team captain, Fatima Sana, made a gesture during a recent match against South Africa that has drawn attention ahead of their game against India in the 2025 World Cup on October 5 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. A video of the gesture has been shared online, and she received criticism for it.

The gesture is linked to claims made by Pakistan about shooting down Indian jets during Operation Sindoor. Pakistani cricketer Haris Rauf faced backlash for making similar provocative gestures during matches against India in the Asia Cup 2025 and was fined 30% of his match fees.

Like the Indian men's cricket team, the women's team from India is also expected to avoid shaking hands with Pakistani players before and after the match.

However, at the pre-match press conference, Pakistani captain Fatima Sana said that her team's focus will be on playing the match and fulfilling all the requirements of the spirit of the game.

Fatima was asked, "Beautiful pictures emerged from the India-Pakistan match in the last World Cup. Indian players posed for pictures with Pakistani player Bismah Maroof's daughter. Will you miss such moments?"

Fatima Sana replied, "Our main goal is to play. Our focus is on the game. Given our good relationships with other teams, we will try to fulfill all the requirements of the spirit of the game."

She said, "Whatever happened in the past, the way everyone was enjoying themselves with Bisma ji, all these things are good as a player. But the first thing is to focus on what you are here for."

The match between India and Pakistan will start at 3 pm on Sunday.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
