Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar inspected the Joggers Park located in the Basantkunj Scheme and directed the development of a glow garden there. Along with this, various civil, horticultural, and beautification works will be carried out in the park, which will bring out the park's new theme.
Park is very popular in the entire area
LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar stated that the Joggers Park located in the Basantkunj Scheme spans approximately 17.5 acres. This park is very popular in the entire area, and a large number of people come here for walking, playing, and morning walks.
Keeping this in mind, a decision has been made to develop the park on a unique theme. Development work will be undertaken at a cost of approximately Rs 10 crore. A glow garden will be developed in the park, the first of its kind in the city.
It will feature lighting models of animals, birds, flowers, and plants. Additionally, cutout panels will display attractive shapes with a gobo effect. Bollard lights with attractive designs will also be installed.
Open gym and yoga hut are being constructed
For the convenience of the public, an open gym and yoga hut are being constructed in the Jogger's Park, near which sculptures depicting 12 yoga postures will be installed. A children's play area will be developed, featuring beautifully designed swings and play equipment. LDA Vice Chairman Kumar stated that the park has a total of five water bodies. New fountains will be installed in these spaces, enhancing the park's beauty.
Kumar said that the Jogger's Park has an approximately 800-meter-long jogging track. Due to water-logging, it has been damaged in several places. Work is now underway to repair and strengthen the entire jogging track. This will increase the height of the jogging track to prevent future water-logging. The park's entrance plaza will also be upgraded. A new entrance will be constructed on the north side.
