Mohammad Kamran is also contesting as independent

Mohammad Kamran, the sitting MLA from Govindpur constituency in Nawada, has also been expelled from the party. He is contesting as an independent candidate, while the party has nominated Purnima Yadav, wife of former MLA Kaushal Yadav, in his place.

Resentment arising from ticket distribution

In this assembly election, RJD has fielded candidates in 143 out of a total of 243 seats.
