Bihar Assembly Election-2025: Amit Shah responds to RJD's demand to take back Rs 10,000 from Jeevika Didis
Bihar Assembly Election-2025: Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah, who is campaigning in the Bihar Assembly elections-2025, has given a statement regarding the Nitish Kumar government's transfer of ten thousand rupees to women's accounts. RJD had told EC that it is a bribe given by NDA to women for the sake of the votes.
At an election rally in Darbhanga on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Recently, Modi ji and Nitish Kumar ji transferred more than one crore rupees (10,000 rupees each) to the bank accounts of Jeevika Didis. The RJD has written a letter to the Election Commission asking that this 10,000 rupees be taken back from the Jeevika Didis."
He said, "I want to tell the Jeevika Didis to forget Lalu and Tejashwi. Even if three generations of their family come, they will not be able to take back this 10,000 rupees from the Jeevika Didis."
Earlier, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav said that after the formation of the Grand Alliance government, an annual amount of Rs 30,000 would be deposited into women's accounts under the 'Mai Behin Maan Yojana' on January 14th.
He said, "This amount will help them fight inflation. It's Rs 1.5 lakh for five years. Rs 30,000 annually means Rs 2,500 per month."
The campaign for the first phase of voting in Bihar ends on the evening of November 4, 2025, with the elections scheduled for November 6th.
The second phase of voting will be held on November 11th, and the results will be declared on November 14th.
