Bihar: Jan Suraaj Party National President Uday Singh tells whether Prashant Kishor will quit politics
Jan Suraaj Party's National President Uday Singh responded to the question of Prashant Kishor leaving politics.
At the party's press conference in Patna on Saturday, Uday Singh was asked, "Prashant Kishor had said that if JDU wins more than 25 seats, he will quit politics."
Singh said, "Remember the date when Prashant Ji said this. After this there was a deluge of money, which affected the entire election. So, people can easily understand the increase in the number of0 seats."
Uday Singh claimed that the state government spent about 40,000 crore rupees after June 21st until the elections. This led to a shift in voters.
A journalist asked him, "Jan Suraj Party could not win even a single seat out of 243."
On this, he said, "We had said earlier that we would either win 200 out of 243 seats or we would be left with zero. I said this, and Prashant ji also said this. We knew this was a possibility."
Two main reasons for the party's defeat
Uday Singh cited two main reasons for the party's defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections.
First, the people were afraid that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) would come to power, so they voted for the NDA. Second, the government spent a lot of money before the elections.
Furthermore, he said that the Delhi blasts had an impact on Seemanchal. It played a significant role in polarizing the region.
Uday Singh said, "Jan Suraaj is disappointed, but we are not disheartened. We did not get votes because our votes shifted to the NDA in the last two-three days due to the fear of the RJD coming to power."
