Bihar Portfolios: Home Dept goes to BJP after 2 decades, JDU to handle Finance; Shreyasi Singh get Sports

There has been a big change in Nitish Kumar's cabinet. After 20 years, Nitish has given up the Home Department, which is now under the BJP. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will take charge of the Home Department.

The BJP has handed over the Finance Department to the JDU, and Bijendra Yadav will manage both the Finance and Energy Departments. Mangal Pandey has been moved to the Health Department.

Shreyasi Singh, a national shooter, is now a minister for the first time and will lead the Sports Department. Santosh Suman, the National President of HAM, will continue as the Minister of Minor Water Resources.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha will now oversee the Mines and Geology Department in addition to the Land and Revenue Department. However, he has lost the Agriculture Department, which has been given to Ramkripal Yadav from the BJP.

Dilip Jaiswal has been named the Industry Minister, and Nitin Naveen will handle the Urban Development and Housing Department along with the Land and Revenue Department.

The departments were assigned to 26 ministers late Friday evening, just 24 hours after they were sworn in with Nitish Kumar on November 20.
