The Central Government has officially declared the car bomb blast near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station on November 10 as a terrorist attack. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid tribute to the deceased by observing a two-minute silence.

Later, Prime Minister Modi also held a separate meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah. The government directed that the perpetrators be punished severely. The government stated that every aspect of the conspiracy behind this attack will be exposed and those responsible will not be spared under any circumstances.

The Cabinet directed that the investigation into the incident be pursued with the utmost urgency and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their collaborators, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay. The situation continues to be closely monitored at the highest levels of the government.

The Cabinet reaffirmed the Government's steadfast resolve to safeguard the lives and well-being of all Indians, consistent with its enduring commitment to national security and the safety of every citizen.

Will Operation Sindoor be launched?

If the investigation proves the involvement of Lashkar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Mohammed, India could retaliate against terrorist bases in Pakistan. The government has already clarified that any terrorist attack in the country will now be considered an act of war. According to sources, after Operation Sindoor, many training camps of Jaish and Lashkar were shifted to Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, about 350 kilometers from the Indian border. Recently, the Air Force Chief also said that "no terrorist camp is beyond our reach."
