Chhindwara's tribal daughter Vaishnavi Sariyam receives Girl Child Science Award; had secured first place in Madhya Pradesh in Science stream


Vaishnavi Sariyam, a tribal daughter from Chhindwara district, has brought honor to the district by securing first place in the entire Madhya Pradesh in the Science stream in the 2024-25 Class 12 board examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal. For this achievement, she was honored with the "Girl Child Science Award" under the "Meritorious Student Award Scheme" by the Tribal Affairs Department and provided an incentive of Rs 50,000.

Award is given by the Tribal Affairs Dept

This award is given by the Tribal Affairs Department of the Madhya Pradesh government to 10 tribal girls who have scored more than 90% in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics) in the Class 12 examination of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, achieving the highest marks in the state. After a thorough verification of the original mark sheet and caste certificate by the state-level selection committee, Vaishnavi was selected for the award.

Vaishnavi achieved this position through her hard work, and confidence

Vaishnavi Sariyam, a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Seoni Pandhurna (Chhindwara), is the daughter of Vinod Sariyam, a farmer. Her mother is a homemaker and a tailor. Despite limited resources and difficult circumstances, Vaishnavi achieved this position through her dedication, hard work, and confidence.

Is currently preparing for the JEE Mains 

Vaishnavi secured first place in the state in the Science stream, scoring 284 out of 300 marks. She is currently preparing for the JEE Mains from home. Collector Harendra Narayan and Assistant Commissioner of the Tribal Affairs Department Satendra Singh Markam congratulated her on this achievement and wished her a bright future.
