ICC Women World Cup 2025: India's men's T20 cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav congratulated and praised the women players for winning the ICC Women World Cup 2025.

Sharing a photo of the champions, Suryakumar Yadav wrote, "A historic moment for Indian cricket."

He wrote, "Our women players have shown the world what can be achieved with passion, determination, and belief. Congratulations."

The Indian women's team won the World Cup title by defeating South Africa in the final on Sunday. The Indian team became world champions for the first time.

Legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli also praised them.

Sachin said, "This is a defining moment in the journey of Indian women's cricket. Well done, Team India. You have made the entire country proud."

Virat Kohli said that this victory is an inspiration for generations to come.

India's star boxer Nikhat Zareen has congratulated the Indian women's cricket team on becoming world champions.

Nikhat wrote on Instagram, "You have made history and won millions of hearts. Team India, salute to you."

"You made us believe, made us cry, and made us feel proud. This world is yours."

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
