India won the third match of the five-match T20 series between Australia and India by five wickets.
In the match played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart, the hosts displayed excellent batting and set a target of 187 runs for India, which the Indian batsmen achieved with nine balls to spare.
India had previously lost the second T20 match. The two teams are now tied at 1-1 in this five-match series.
Tim David top-scored for Australia with 74 runs off 38 balls. Marcus Stoinis also played an innings of 64 runs off 39 balls.
Among Indian bowlers, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets and Varun Chakravarthy took two.
While almost everyone on India's batting team scored some runs, Washington Sundar performed the best, scoring 49 runs off 23 balls.
Arshdeep Singh, left out of the Indian playing XI for the past two games, responded by winning the Player of the Match after taking 3 wickets. India became the first team to beat Australia in Hobart in a T20I fixture.
With the highest successful chase in Hobart, India scripted a historic feat and levelled the series at 1-1 with a five wicket win.
