Indian women's cricket team will have dinner with PM Modi; team will give this special gift to PM


Women's World Cup 2025: PM Modi Invited Women's Team for Dinner: The Indian women's cricket team, which won the World Cup 2025 on November 2nd, will attend a dinner with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 5. The PMO has sent the players an invitation to the dinner via email. The women's team arrived in Delhi from Mumbai on a special flight.

The Indian team won the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 for the first time by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Shafali Verma delivered a brilliant all-round performance, scoring 87 runs and taking two wickets.

All-rounder Deepti Sharma took five wickets and scored 58 runs in the final. Her all-round performance helped India restrict South Africa to 246 runs. Deepti was named "Player of the Tournament" for her consistent performance throughout the tournament.

Team will give a special gift to PM

Deepti Sharma revealed that the team will give Prime Minister Modi a special gift. She said, "We haven't decided yet whether to give a jersey or a bat, but we will definitely give something special." The team will decide on this gift soon.

Following the World Cup victory, Prime Minister Modi had praised the team on social media. He wrote, "The Indian team's performance in the final was amazing. Their unity, skill, and confidence have made the country proud."

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a reward of Rs 51 crore for the women's team's historic victory. BCCI President Mithun Manhas said that the team's courage and unity have raised the nation's hopes to new heights.
