8th Inter-State Challengers and 45th Junior National Rowing Championship Kick-start on Bhopal's Upper Lake, CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Government is committed to all-round development of youth. The Sports Department is carrying out various activities to promote a sports culture in State. \

CM Mohan Yadav said that hosting the Rowing Championship is a matter of pride and joy for the State Government. He was addressing the gathering at the Boat Club on Upper Lake in Bhopal on Wednesday during the inauguration of the 8th Inter-State Challengers and 45th Junior National Rowing Championship.



March-past presented by 500 players from 23 States

Dr. Yadav formally declared the championship open. He witnessed the march-past presented by nearly 500 players from 23 States, who participated while marching to patriotic tunes. CM was welcomed with a ceremonial cap on his arrival at the venue. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishvas Sarang, Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, senior officers, and sports enthusiasts were also present on the occasion.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav encouraged players from various States who came to Bhopal for the championship to experience the art, culture and tastes of Madhya Pradesh and to visit the tourist sites around Bhopal.



A major gathering of water sports: Sarang

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishvas Sarang said that this four-day rowing championship will establish itself as a major gathering of water sports. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the State Government is working throughout Madhya Pradesh to support sport, players and sports fields. 

Sarang said that activities are being carried out at the national and international level for exchange of knowledge related to training required for sport and sportsmen. Coaches and players from different States attended the event.
