MP's fourth airport will take shape in Ujjain in two years; CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announces establishment of Omkareshwar Sanctuary

The Ujjain Airport development contract was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu in Bhopal on Saturday. It is noteworthy that Rewa, Satna, and Datia airports have also taken shape during the last 2 years. The construction of Ujjain Airport will significantly benefit pilgrims. The CM stated that Madhya Pradesh will now have nine airports, including Ujjain.

Contracts signed for Rewa-Delhi, Rewa-Indore flights; PM Shri air tourism service launched 

At the event, contracts were handed over to Alliance Airlines for the Rewa-New Delhi flight and to officials of Indigo Airlines for the Rewa-Indore flight. Additionally, contracts were awarded for the PM Shri air tourism helicopter service in three sectors of the state.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh” Vision Document launching ceremony at Ravindra Bhavan on the occasion of the State’s 70th Foundation Day on November 1.

Omkareshwar Sanctuary to cover parts of Khandwa and Dewas

He also announced the development of Omkareshwar Sanctuary, covering parts of Khandwa and Dewas districts, and launched the “Wash on Wheels” mobile app developed by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain presented the objectives and salient points of the document. A short film on the Vision Document was screened.

CM Dr. Yadav said that the wildlife conservation in the state has received a big boost. Efforts are also being made to increase forest and wildlife-centric tourism activities by increasing the number of animals like wild buffalo and rhinoceros along with the two tiger sanctuaries and cheetah sanctuary started last year in the state.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
