Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit India on PM Modi's invitation, check details
At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of Russia Vladimir Putin will pay a State visit to India from 4-5 December 2025 for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
During the visit, President Putin will hold talks with PM Narendra Modi. President Droupadi Murmu will also receive President Putin and host a banquet in his honor.
The forthcoming State Visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of India and Russia to review progress in bilateral relations, set the vision for strengthening the 'Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership,' and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Global issues will also be discussed between the two leaders.
President Vladimir Putin's last visit to India was in December 2021. This means Putin has not visited India since the war with Ukraine began in February 2022.
Even Putin did not attend the G-20 summit held in New Delhi in September 2023.
