Shekhar Kapur is getting ready to remake his movie 'Paani' after almost ten years, but this time he will use artificial intelligence (AI) to help him.

Originally, the movie starred the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, but it was put on hold when the producer, Yash Raj Films, decided not to move forward with it.

Kapur mentioned that many people thought the movie would be too expensive to make. Now, with AI, he believes it can be made quickly and at a lower cost. He is confident that this time the film will actually start production.

He also said that the original cast might change based on the AI model he is using.

Additionally, he talked about his new film 'Masoom 2,' which is a sequel to his 1983 movie 'Masoom.' It will bring back actors Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi, along with Manoj Bajpayee and some new actors. He spent two years working on the script, and filming is expected to start in December or January.

AI in film-making

Speaking on the role of AI in filmmaking, Shekhar Kapoor said that this technology is now permeating every field. He said, "If your story is predictable, AI will create it better and faster than you. But great stories and characters that do the impossible are things that AI cannot do."

He said, "AI can write a story in two minutes, but the true soul of creativity lies in the uncertainty that AI cannot understand."
