What new update has come about former Pakistan PM and PTI chief Imran Khan's health and safety
Imran Khan Health Update: A new debate has erupted over the health and safety of former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan. Party sources have claimed that Imran Khan is being held in extremely poor conditions in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, where he has been completely isolated.
According to PTI, Imran Khan has been tortured several times and is being kept in conditions that are causing his mental and physical condition to deteriorate.
Khan being pressurized to leave politics and the country: Zeeshan
PTI Senator Khurram Zeeshan has stated that Imran Khan is "alive and safe," but has been in complete isolation for the past month. He alleged that the Shahbaz Sharif government and the team of Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir are pressuring Khan to leave politics and the country. According to Zeeshan, this is a grave violation of human rights.
Zeeshan said that Imran is being denied access to his family, lawyers, and party leaders. He claimed that the government is trying to pressure Khan into a compromise, but Imran Khan will never do so.
All speculation will end if we're allowed to meet: Imran's sister
Khan's sister, Aleema Khanum, told a media channel that the government's attitude was "strange and suspicious." She questioned why the government was not allowing the family to meet. According to her, "If we are allowed to meet, all speculation will end." Aleema said she does not believe the state machinery will physically harm Imran Khan, but this method of preventing meetings is fueling public anger.
Even Sohail Afridi not allowed to meet
Meanwhile, other PTI sources claim that Imrann's health is steadily deteriorating. Poor prison conditions, harsh confinement, and restrictions on communication have worsened his condition. Previously, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Khan Afridi, was able to meet him, but now even those visits have been completely banned. The party alleges that any health updates released by the government are meant to conceal the true condition.
Public anger could erupt
Imran's family claims that the situation could become explosive. Aleema Khanum says that public anger could erupt on the streets at any moment. According to her, if Khan's sisters begin to openly discuss the situation, widespread protests could erupt across Pakistan.
Family to petition the court
The family is now petitioning the court to have Imran Khan immediately produced before the court so that his true condition and prison conditions can be ascertained. PTI says that immediate intervention is necessary to protect Imran Khan's safety, health, and legal rights.
