What Rohini Acharya said now? What did Tej Pratap Yadav say?
Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has said that she has only left her brother; her parents and sisters are with her.
Rohini Acharya told reporters on Sunday, "My father has always been with me. Yesterday, my parents were crying. My sisters were crying. God blessed me with such parents who supported me throughout."
She said, "In a home where there are brothers, the brothers should also contribute to that home. Should the daughter make all the sacrifices? And when the daughter asks questions, you tell her to go to her in-laws' house; you're married."
Rohini Acharya has said that she has only broken ties with her brother.
Following the Grand Alliance's crushing defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, tensions within the RJD and the Lalu Yadav family are steadily rising. Immediately after the election results, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter, Rohini Acharya, announced her retirement from politics and to move away from the family. As shocking as this announcement was, the subsequent reactions have proven even more intense and controversial.
Insult inflicted on my sister is unbearable: Tej Pratap Yadav
Late Saturday night, Tej Pratap Yadav shared a long and emotional post on social media. He wrote, "Yesterday's incident has shaken me to the core. I tolerated what happened to me. But the insult inflicted on my sister is unbearable at any cost. Listen, Jaichands—if you attack the family, the people of Bihar will never forgive you." Tej Pratap's statement has brought to the surface long-simmering tensions within the party.
Tej Pratap also sent a direct message to his father and RJD national president Lalu Yadav. He wrote, "I request my father, my political guru Lalu Prasad ji—give me a signal. Just one hint from you will be enough. The people of Bihar will themselves bury these Jaichands. This fight is not about any party, but about the honor of the family, the dignity of the daughter, and the self-respect of Bihar. Such open public conflict is rarely seen within the Lalu family."
